The Trump Group plans to invest up to ₹1 trillion in Telangana over the next decade, focusing on the massive Bharat Future City project. Announced at the Telangana Rising summit, the move highlights confidence in India’s tech growth and Telangana’s investor-friendly climate. Additional projects include a film city, a Vantara rescue centre, and several major hotel developments.
The Trump family’s business conglomerate is preparing for a major expansion in India, with plans to infuse up to ₹1 trillion into projects across Telangana over the next ten years. The announcement, made on Monday by a senior executive, positions the initiative as one of the group’s most ambitious undertakings outside the United States.
The declaration follows closely on the heels of a proposal by the Telangana government to rename a key stretch of road beside the US Consulate in Hyderabad as “Donald Trump Avenue,” drawing heightened attention to the family’s growing presence in the region.
Much of the proposed investment is expected to funnel into Bharat Future City, an extensive urban development planned near Meerkhanpet. Designed by the Revanth Reddy administration, the project covers 765 square kilometers and spans 56 villages between the Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar highways. Situated about two hours from Hyderabad, the development will be spearheaded by the Future City Development Authority.
Eric Swider, director at Trump Media & Technology Group, unveiled the investment plans during the Telangana Rising summit held at the site. He expressed both confidence and enthusiasm about the region’s potential, stating his intention to deploy up to ₹1 trillion through the group’s various companies into the future city and nearby development zones over the coming decade.
Swider commended India’s growing influence in global technology, noting the country’s evolution from a call‑centre hub to a major source of top tech talent. He stressed the importance of collaboration and investment partnerships, highlighting India as a place where innovation is flourishing and where capital finds a receptive environment.
The Trump brand is no stranger to India. It has already made its mark with a series of luxury residential projects—Trump Towers—in Mumbai, Pune, Gurugram, and Kolkata. These ventures, built on brand‑licensing rather than direct investment, have helped solidify the family’s foothold in the country’s high-end real estate market.
Swider emphasized Telangana’s appeal to global investors, crediting the state leadership for fostering an environment where businesses feel welcomed. He described the region as “a place on the rise,” reflecting confidence in its trajectory.
Bharat Future City is also expected to host several high-profile projects. Among them is a proposed world-class film city backed by Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn. Reports indicate that the Reliance Foundation’s conservation initiative, Vantara, is exploring the possibility of establishing an animal rescue and rehabilitation center within the zone. In addition, multiple hotel developments collectively valued at around ₹3,000 crore are reportedly in the pipeline, signaling the area’s potential as a future commercial and cultural hub.
If the investment plans materialize as outlined, Telangana could see a significant boost in both economic activity and global visibility, marking a new chapter in its emergence as a major destination for international development.
