A 90-foot bronze 'Statue of Union' of Lord Hanuman was unveiled near Houston at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple, marking a significant cultural and spiritual achievement. It stands as the nation's third tallest statue, symbolizing selflessness, devotion, and unity. This iconic figure is also the tallest Hanuman statue outside India and the loftiest in Texas. The unveiling during the Prana Prathishta Mahotsavam celebrated devotion and unity, paying homage to Hanuman's role in reuniting Lord Ram and Sita. Led by Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, the ceremony highlighted spirituality and included rituals, like a helicopter showering petals on the murti, underlining its importance in America's cultural and spiritual landscape.

A towering 90-foot bronze statue of Lord Hanuman, christened the 'Statue of Union,' has been unveiled near Houston at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple, signifying a momentous cultural and spiritual achievement in the heart of America. This majestic statue, the third tallest in the nation, embodies values of selflessness, devotion, and unity, and its inauguration was graced by a multitude of devotees.

Dubbed the Statue of Union, this iconic figure not only ranks among the tallest sculptures worldwide but also boasts the title of the tallest Hanuman statue outside India, the loftiest in Texas, and the third tallest across the United States. Surpassing it in height are only the Statue of Liberty in New York (151 feet) and the Pegasus and Dragon in Hallandale Beach, Florida (110 feet).

Unveiled at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land, approximately 35 km from Houston, during the Prana Prathishta Mahotsavam held from August 15 to 18, the Statue of Union Hanuman murti symbolizes "selflessness, devotion, and unity," as highlighted by the organizers.

The murti was christened to pay homage to Lord Hanuman's pivotal role in reuniting Lord Ram and Sita.

"This awe-inspiring monument is the fruit of the visionary endeavors of His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, a revered Padma Bhushan awardee and distinguished Vedic scholar, who envisioned this project as a spiritual hub for North America," stated the organizers, as reported by news agency PTI.

Commencing on August 15, coinciding with India's Independence Day, the main festivities culminated on August 18 with the grand Pran Prathistha ceremony.

"The rituals, conducted under the guidance of Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji and overseen by numerous Vedic priests and scholars, were a poignant display of devotion and spirituality," the organizers expressed.

The ceremony featured a helicopter showering petals on the murti, sprinkling of sacred water, and draping a 72-foot garland around Lord Hanuman's neck, accompanied by chants of Shri Ram and Hanuman resonating through the air from thousands of devotees in unison.

This statue not only stands tall as a representation of Hanuman's unwavering spirit but also as a significant milestone in America's cultural and spiritual fabric, embodying the principles of devotion, resilience, and unity for all who witness its magnificence, the organizers affirmed.
