Issues including terrorism, H-1B visas, trade, arms deal with Russia and India’s energy security and the current tension in the Persian Gulf were some of the issues discussed when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the visiting US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in New Delhi.
This is Pompeo’s first high-level interaction with Modi, after the thumping victory in the General Elections. The visit also comes ahead of the meeting between Modi and US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Japan’s Osaka this week.
