Shiv Shakti Point will now be the name of the Chandrayaan-3 landing location on the moon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Telemetry Tracking and Command Network on Saturday in Bengaluru.

India successfully landed Chandrayaan-3, its third lunar mission, on August 23 at a 70-degree angle from the moon's south pole. National Space Day will be observed on that day to honor the spirit of creativity, science, and discovery.

Tiranga will be the name of the region on the moon where Chandrayaan-2, India's second lunar mission, made its mark. "This Tricolor Point will serve as the catalyst for all of India's endeavors. We will learn from it that failure is not the end," the PM stated. Vikram from Chandrayaan-2 was unable to successfully arrive on the moon in 2019.

"Shakti gives us the strength to carry out the resolutions made in Shiv for the good of humanity. The moon's Shiv Shakti Point also creates a feeling of connectedness between Kanyakumari and the Himalayas, the man claimed. The name alludes to the power of the women in the nation. "Shakti is our Nari Shakti," proclaimed Modi. "Our female scientists, the nation's Nari Shakti, were instrumental in making the Chandrayaan-3 mission a success. The moon's Shiv Shakti Point will serve as a witness to India's scientific and philosophical ideas.

The moon lander has been sending ground-breaking photographs, which the prime minister praised.

"India created these images of the previously unseen regions of the moon. India's scientific spirit, technology, and temperament are recognized throughout the world, the PM remarked.

India's achievement creates opportunities for all nations' moon missions. According to Modi, "the success of Chandrayaan-3 belongs to all of humanity, not just India." The expedition would help to solve problems on Earth in addition to revealing the mysteries of the moon.

According to Modi, the country's space business is expected to grow from $8 billion to $16 billion in the next years as a result of the government's assiduous efforts to reform the space industry. According to him, there have been 150 space-related firms launched in the last four years, up from four.

The PM pointed out that the space industry's talents transcend beyond satellite launches and space explorations and can be seen in things like convenience of living and simplicity of government. He emphasized the enormous strides made in connecting space applications and governance.
