How wind power can enable a sustainable future

India's energy demand is increasing, and the availability of greener energy is a critical prerequisite for the country's economic success. The major goal of implementing renewable energy in India is to drive economic development, increase energy security and access to electricity, and reduce climate change.

Sustainable development is feasible through the use of renewable power and the provision of citizens with accessible, consistent, durable, and affordable energy. Strong government assistance and an increasingly favorable economic position have propelled India to the forefront of the world's most promising renewable energy sectors. The government has also established laws, initiatives, and a flexible environment to attract international investments in order to rapidly expand the country's presence in the renewable energy industry.

Wind as the preferential energy source

Wind energy is the power generated by the wind. It is one of the earliest energy sources used by mankind and is now the most well-established and effective renewable energy source. Overall, wind energy has less environmental consequences than several other energy sources. Wind turbines, with a few exceptions, do not emit pollutants into the air or water, and they do not utilize water for cooling. The turbines may also decrease the dependence on quantity of power generated from fossil fuels, resulting in lower air contamination and CO2 emissions. Wind farms are groups of wind turbine, having a small footprint, placed on open ground, on mountain slopes, or offshore in bodies of water.
