Faith-based technology startups are thriving during the festival season, with platforms like Astroyogi, AstroSage AI, and AstroSure.AI witnessing massive growth in consultations, user engagement, and sales of spiritual products like puja kits and gemstones. Factors like rising religious sentiment, tech adoption, and user trust drive this trend. These platforms offer convenience, personalization, and verified professionals, blending age-old traditions with modern technology to make spirituality more accessible and engaging for a tech-savvy audience.

The festival season has ushered in a remarkable wave of activity for faith-based technology (faithtech) startups, as digital platforms increasingly become the go-to solution for spiritual consultations, rituals, and puja essentials. These companies are witnessing unprecedented growth, fueled by rising religious sentiment, broader technology adoption, and growing confidence in online spiritual services.

Astroyogi, a leading platform in the faithtech space, has reported a staggering 2.5x increase in active users and a threefold rise in digital consultations compared to the same period last year. The company attributes this surge to the convenience of online access, which eliminates the need for travel and long queues. Younger users and members of the diaspora have particularly embraced these services, encouraged by festival-themed promotions and bundled offerings. Astroyogi’s platform features over 10,000 verified professionals, ranging from astrologers and tarot readers to vastu experts and spiritual coaches.

“Users are increasingly comfortable turning to online platforms for spiritual needs, especially as these services become more reliable with features like verified consultants and transparent pricing,” said Meena Kapoor, CEO and founder of Astroyogi.

Echoing this sentiment, Punit Pandey, cofounder of AstroSage AI, highlighted the role of social influences and the pursuit of psychological comfort during festivals in driving engagement with faithtech services.

“Festivals are traditionally a time for rituals and spiritual guidance. With technology seamlessly integrating into daily life, platforms like AstroSage AI are stepping in to meet these needs,” Pandey explained. AstroSage AI has experienced a 300% year-on-year growth in consultations, thanks to its AI-powered capabilities. “This growth reflects how users are increasingly relying on the platform for precise, timely, and personalized spiritual advice,” he added.

AstroSure.AI, a newer entrant to the faithtech market launched in 2025, is also making waves. The platform has reported strong traction, with its monthly active users surpassing 300,000 and over 15,000 daily active users across its app and website. According to Vanya Mishra, cofounder and CEO of AstroSure.AI, the platform boasts an impressive 72% user retention rate and has crossed 1 million downloads on Android and iOS.

“Our growth has been fueled by features like compatibility checks, personalized reports, auspicious timing suggestions, and tithi guides, which not only enhance user experience but also drive higher conversions from free to paid services,” Mishra shared.

The demand for faithtech services extends beyond digital consultations. Platforms like Astroyogi and AstroSage AI are also seeing a significant uptick in the sales of spiritual products, such as curated puja kits, gemstones, and idols. These items often complement digital consultations, creating a holistic spiritual experience for users. Astroyogi reported a 30% increase in sales of puja kits, while AstroSage AI noted a 25% year-on-year growth in sales of ritual items.

“Pairing consultations with the sale of spiritual products enhances the overall user experience, allowing people to engage with both digital and tangible aspects of their faith,” Kapoor explained.

Pandey added that users are increasingly combining digital consultations with traditional practices at home, driving demand for physical products like puja kits and gemstones.

As faithtech startups continue to innovate and adapt to the needs of a tech-savvy generation, their influence on how people approach spirituality is undeniable. This festival season has only underscored the potential of technology to bridge the gap between age-old traditions and modern convenience, making spirituality more accessible than ever.
