Government preparing a road map for 25 years: PM Modi

He compared the condition of the country under the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, and credited the transformation to the right intent or sahi neeyat and the “nation first” philosophy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised Wednesday, as he campaigned for a third term in office, that his government will fight corruption and help the poor, young people, and middle class. He also said that the next five years will see unprecedented growth, prosperity, expansion, and transformation.

Despite criticism from the opposition, the PM stated at the News18 Rising Bharat Summit, the people of the nation chose to elect the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for another term, and the world could observe the huge changes in the system and work culture.

"India is that passenger without whom no global flight can take off... in the next five years, it will be the pilot without whom no flight can take off..." he remarked, rolling out the reforms implemented during the previous decade under the NDA government.

The comments were made in the last weeks leading up to the general elections, in which Modi is running for reelection, hoping to become the second leader in India's history to do so (the first being Jawaharlal Nehru). Starting on April 19 and concluding on June 1, the seven-stage elections will take place. On June 4, the outcomes will be revealed.

When asked about the country's status during the previous UPA government, he compared it to the current one and said that the change was due to the "nation first" ideology and the proper intent, or sahi neeyat. The "Modi guarantee" was another of his tools for promoting the policies and programs of his administration.

About 25 crore people have been able to escape poverty in the past decade. From eleventh to fifth place, India's economy grew. An exponential growth in exports has contributed to India's currency reserves surpassing $700 billion. He emphasized that we need take more action.

He announced plans for the first hundred days of his third term and indicated that his administration was already making arrangements for the next quarter of a century. According to him, the country's transformation was not a picnic, but it did happen. "And the Indians proved it is possible. The downside The prime minister brought up the 2019 terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, and the subsequent airstrikes in Balakot. The BJP administration frequently boasts about how successful its zero-tolerance approach against terrorism was. He also mentioned that our voice now reflects our confidence level.

The world looked upon the 21st century as India's century, Modi declared during the summit's closing session. India will continue to rise, according to major rating agencies and experts. For whatever reason, they aren't questioning anything. "Everyone is seeing how India has made a huge impact in the past decade," he explained.

He claimed that Indians had become less tolerant of wrongdoing and that this trend pervaded all areas of life, including the economy and national security.

"The new India will not stand for the hurt caused by terrorists; it will make an appropriate example of them. Those responsible for the terror strikes that wounded us are being closely monitored by our fellow citizens and the international community. A developed nation is built upon a secure nation. "This is India on the rise," he expressed.

The prime minister brought up the 2019 terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, and the subsequent airstrikes in Balakot. The BJP administration frequently boasts about how successful its zero-tolerance approach against terrorism was. "The country that gives us so much, do we just live here or do something for it... that's what takes the country forward," he remarked, urging individuals to consider how they might contribute to nation building. "We must lay down our lives for our nation," he declared.

During his speech, Modi made several comparisons between his administration and the UPA. He claimed that corruption was rampant prior to 2014 because the UPA government had protected scams.

"Things are different now. We report on our efforts to combat corruption and take strong measures where necessary. In the past, crooked individuals had risen to positions of power. Seva ka kendra, or public service centers, are what we established as government offices, he declared.

Taking aim at the Congress and the Trinamool Congress in particular, Modi said that they had a large sum of money recovered from their possession.

Thanks to technological advancements, our administration is able to more easily apprehend corrupt officials. Now that it's easier to track financial transactions than ever before, people are hiding their wealth in unlikely places, like under mattresses or even inside walls. He explained that the Congress MP and TMC leader were "rattled" when a trove of notes was discovered in their homes.

The prime minister announced a crackdown on corruption and the distribution of scholarships, gas subsidies, and salaries to those who had applied for rural employment programs. "We prevented the embezzlement of ₹34 lakh crore from the government coffers via DBT and made sure it got directly into bank accounts. "Four crore ration cards were also deemed fraudulent, and ten crore beneficiaries were subsequently removed," he announced.

The government's emphasis on the welfare of the poor was a major theme of Modi's speech. He claimed that the poor bless him because he keeps his promises and puts policies in place to empower them.

When the impoverished help me out, the opposition starts picking on me. Even when the mistreated person is also blessed by me, it will have no effect on the impoverished person. "The nation has already decided—to vote for Modi government once again," he declared. By comparing him to Aurangzeb and demanding his "beheading," Modi claimed the opposition had hurled the "104th abuse" at him. Someone threatened to "behead" me, and I've been dubbed Aurangzeb. "The world will witness its biggest election" amid all the positive and negative comments, he said.

He brought up how policies improved life for middle-class families who had previously had trouble paying taxes, providing adequate education for their children, and buying a home.

Even the middle class fell prey. Every aspect of their lives was fraught with difficulty; taxes, children's schooling, etc. He remarked that their lives revolved on three things: their home, their children's marriages, and their work. He went on to say that his administration was the pioneer in easing the process of purchasing a home, regulating the real estate industry, and streamlining tax systems.

The prime minister continued by saying, "Modi has become the guarantee for the poor whom no one used to give guarantee to," adding that there was still a lot to do. That's why Modi's promise has the support of every impoverished citizen.
