Sino-Indian partnership for SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy

The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 highlights ‘affordable and clean energy's’ indispensable role in development and focuses on energy availability, access, affordability and efficiency. This goal encompasses the comprehensive target of energy security, “the uninterrupted availability of energy sources at an affordable price” as defined by the International Energy Agency. Short term energy security would mean prompt conscientious reaction to energy demand-supply imbalances while long term security would involve investments in the power sector in alignment with sustainable economic growth.
