NEW DELHI: The luggage industry is on a roll thanks to the surge in travel and the return of big fat Indian weddings.
The biggest names of the sector like Samsonite and Safari along with mega retailers like Reliance are reporting anywhere between 50% and 70% growth in sales since the middle of this year over 2019 which was the best year ever for the industry. What's more the growth is being largely driven by Tier II and III cities with aspirational Bharat growing wings to see the world like their residents of metros.
