A slipper manufacturer in the east China city of Ningbo prints information about missing children on its labels to help parents find their kids.

On the labels are the child's name as well as birth and missing dates, along with a photo.

The contact information of a non-governmental organization is also placed in the shoe box.


Mao Wei, a member of the company's management, told Chinese video news outlet Beijing Time that the firm has printed labels for three years costing 1 million yuan ($150,000). /CFP


The company has sold over 27 million pairs of slippers with the special labels over the past year, according to Mao.
